Silencer
Described in: Core book
Description
Using a silenced weapon does not cause a character to be detected by others. If a silenced weapon is used for a surprise attack or if the user is in Ghost mode, they add their Stealth characteristic (+1 point per overdrive) to their damage. NPCs add half their Mask value, rounded up (as well as any exceptional Mask aspect score they may have) to their damage. Silencer effects add their extra damage to a Rogue armour’s Ghost mode and the level 2 Stealth overdrive effect.
Example: Emily’s character, disguised as a hopeless thanks to their Changeling mode, fires at a warlord with their magnetic crossbow. Since the character is well hidden, firing with a weapon with the silencer effect does not give away their location. She rolls for damage with a barbed bolt and gets a total of 15. Hidden by their Changeling mode and using a silenced weapon, the PC adds their Stealth score of 6 to the damage roll, for a total of 21 points of damage.
