Destructive
Described in: Core book
Description
When a weapon with this effect deals damage to a target’s armour (provided it has Armour Points), add an additional 2D6 to the total damage. So long as at least one point of damage passes the target’s shield or FF, destructive is immediately added to the remaining damage.
Example: Mike’s character uses a heavy machine gun to shoot at a renegade Knight. After successfully rolling to hit, he rolls the weapon’s 5D6 + 10 damage, for a total of 26. The renegade Knight is wearing meta-armour and therefore has both AP and a force field, reducing the damage by 10 – not enough to absorb the whole blow. Mike therefore rolls an additional 2D6, adding 9 points to the remaining 16 damage, for a total of 25 points of damage.

Some creatures have no HP score. Against them, destructive always applies, ignoring ignore armour and armour-piercing effects. If a creature has HP and AP values, destructive still applies if the target’s AP are higher than the armour-piercing effect of the attack. If armour-piercing allows the attack to completely ignore the target’s AP, damage is dealt straight to the target’s HP and the destructive effect is ignored.
